we asked for a quiet room as we have a young child and we were very happy with the roon allocated to us as it opened out onto the garden terrace and it was quiet and peaceful. the hotel is on the edge of a small village with a small number of restaurants and a bar and some shops.staff are friendly and efficient.we would definitely go back!

A charming stay with unpolished edges
The hotel has a lovely historical character, and the staff's personal hospitality was a warm highlight. The breakfast portions were generous, ensuring a satisfying start to the day.
The cleanliness standards left something to be desired, particularly in the bathroom, where the shower could benefit from a thorough cleaning. Low water pressure was also an inconvenience.

The clean double room had plenty of space, but the shower pressure was disappointingly low. Perfect for visiting nearby attractions!

Very good value for money. Facility was clean, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Very accommodating as they waited up for us to check in late after checking in time. The rooms were as shown on website.
Our room was very cold. Heating had not been turned on.

It was in a convenient location and the rates were reasonable compared with other hotels in the locality. It was value for money/no 'frills' accommodation (fairly basic and I thought the room was not as good a standard as those at Travel Inns).
Insufficient parking - I had to park in the road round the corner. The staff could have been more welcoming. The room (single) and the shower were both quite small.
